My 30th Birthday

Hello, everybody!
I want to share a little bit of my 30th birthday celebration with you all even though it's a bit late. We just moved this past week and have been super busy packing, cleaning, repainting our old apartment and then cleaning and unpacking the new apartment.
My husband took me out for a nice dinner and pie! We went to a movie and then he bought me a brand new camera for blogging!
As if that wasn't enough he had a surprise up his sleeve! He planned for weeks with my sisters to have them come stay with us for part of the weekend to go antiquing at my favorite store on this side of the state. The store was having a big tent sale and he knew that I really wanted to go. I wondered why he hadn't taken me on my birthday?!

The Town and Peddler ~
My favorite store to decorate my home with antiques, home decor and crafts. It's also my go to place for gifts!

The entrance display ~ antiques on one side of the store, crafts and homemade items on the other.

This place makes me ready for Fall, my favorite time of year!

So many treasures, its hard to spot everything because there's so much to see!

Shopaholics!

I am working on distressing a child's chair and a dresser/buffet right now. I love this look!

This is my favorite booth on the craft side.

I loved the little tin signs and the jars with sand and candles. I may do both of these looks...

We headed back to for cake and ice cream before my sisters had to leave.

I wish that they could visit more often!

~*~

Thirty is considered one of the big milestone birthdays. When I try to think about what I've learned in my thirty years. My relationship with my Savior is the most important thing. To trust God no matter what even though some days can be more difficult than I could have ever imagined. He has a plan for my life and it's perfect even though I don't understand it most of the time.
My husband who is always patient, loving, and kind no matter what.
My family has seen every side of me, has known me the longest and they love me no matter what!
My friends are some of the kindest people that I know. Always fun, good for a laugh, and the easiest people to speak with and get advice from.

I don't really have any words of wisdom of my own, so I'll share the verses that bring me much peace, comfort and joy.

Jeremiah 29: 11 ~ 13

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

I can always go to the Lord in prayer for any need and to the scriptures for comfort ~

Philippians 4:1 ~ 10

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Well, friends I will try to post pictures of the furniture projects that I'm working on as soon as they're completed and then pictures of our new apartment.

Have a wonderful rest of the Summer!
