Anchored in His Love ~

Hello, dear friends!

I was recently honored to be a part of a group of women that planned a ladies luncheon for our church. The theme was 'Anchored in His Love' (my brilliant sister-in-law's idea) and we all went to Pinterest for lots of amazing ideas with a beachy/nautical theme.

Here are the centerpieces for all the tables ~
I only helped out in a very small way but it was so much fun to be a part of the event

This beautiful vignette was designed by my friend Pam. It was located in the entrance as all the ladies came in.

The table to enter a drawing for giveaways!

This was on stage next to the podium where the three wonderful speakers shared personal stories of how Christ has gotten them through the storms of their life.
My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and myself each did a decorating demo. My part was explaining a little bit about how I like to re-purpose old thrift furniture and how I like to decorate my mantel and buffet for the holidays by showing pictures of my home in a slideshow. It was a little nerve wracking but it ended up being fine

The Starfish Table

This simple centerpiece was probably one of my favorites

 The Driftwood Table

I love the trifle dish with the polished flat gems in shades of blue with the candle in the center

The Lantern Table

Many of the ladies from the church donated items or let us use pieces just for the day. We have so many generous people at our church!

The Lobster Basket Table

I love the pop of color from the lighthouse and the cans wrapped in rope with the hydrangea in it. Our Pastor's wife made all of the rope vases and bought the all the flowers to go in them.

The Beach Grass Table

I love the rope laced all around the table and the basket full with sea shells

 The Driftwood Bird Table

The starfish and the netting are such a beautiful touch

The Lighthouse Table

The sea glass looked amazing scattered all around the table

 The Colored Glass Table

These were such lovely pieces with the perfect beachy tones to them

The Ball Jar Table

I don't know what ball jars have to do with the beach but the paint color was used throughout as a theme so I painted these jars and made up some coffee filter flowers

The Sand & Glass Table

My mother-in-law did most of this design and I just love it!

The Green Sea Shell Table

I just love all the different glass containers with the blue candles and the starfish. They were scattered throughout many of the tables.

The Blue Basket Table

This was my favorite table! The jar of sea glass, all the blue and greens, and then the addition of the white starfish in the basket were just so pretty. The large purple shell and the fishing rod were perfect finishing touches

The tickets ~

My brother-in-law was so willing to help when I asked him to create an anchor design for us that eventually became much of the theme for the event. He does such great work!

Our Pastor made this large anchor out of wood. He did such a wonderful job! I was asked to paint it and so I decided to match the anchor design mentioned earlier. I had so much fun working with this color as I rarely work with colors other than white and black.

Everyone received a shell or a sand dollar with the verse and anchor design ~ The ladies that worked on these did such a fantastic job!

The cupcakes were delicious and so adorable!

The food was amazing!

Spinach and Berry salad, Tomato Gazpacho & a New England shrimp roll. Yummo!

As much as I enjoyed the decorating aspect of the dinner, the message of Christ being our anchor in the storms and even in the calm times of our lives was far more important. I hope He is your anchor as well!

"Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul." Hebrews 6:19a

Have a lovely day!
